Artist Statement:

I look at the world as an interaction of lines, movement, and shadow. In my photography I try to capture the moment when these come together and form a dynamic image. Currently I'm exploring the human body and its interactions with light and implied motion.

A background in dance and design gives me an understanding of how the body, lighting, and form work together. Working in black & white allows me an opportunity to explore these interactions without the distraction color can introduce. While black and white film is my preferred medium I have begun exploring the use of a complete digital workflow.

I have spent the majority of my adult years in the Washington DC area and have been exploring photography, more off sometimes than on, for the last several years.
