Contemporary ideals have landed us in a time where the journey is no longer as important as the outcome. Our lives are now graded a failure or success based upon whether or not we can afford the newest apple products. True or not, I do not subscribe to this idea. I believe success reaches it's infancy when one has found a spark that can change their outlook on life and inspire them to contribute to society with the gift of creation.

My spark comes in the way of photography. It remains my greatest asset to express myself. Through picture making, have I lifted the shades from my eyes to worlds I would have never thought to explore. The lifestyle continues to open my mind to new cultures and ways of thinking. Composing images provides me with a shiny new challenge for every moment I gaze into the viewfinder. But most importantly, the very act of pressing the shutter never ceases to put a smile on my face.

To further showcase my dedication for the art form and commitment to authenticity; I shoot all of my personal work on medium format film. This older, proven method forces the photographer to slow down and compose every single shot. This guarantees images that are all well thought out far before the shutter is ever released. By sacrificing speed and convenience I gain so much more. Film provides higher resolution, sharper landscapes, truer colors, more flattering portraiture and an overall better product.

In this line of work, technical skills are important, but people skills are a must. Thankfully, I grew up in a bombastic household with parents who love to smile, love conversation and most importantly love people. These traits are now my own and because of them, I have a powerful humanitarian structure that has earned me lifelong friendships with people from all walks of life. With my excitement for work and genuine affection for my subjects; I always aim to provide the most honest and authentic images possible no matter what the assignment.
