About Me

I started my passion for Visual Arts since I was six years old. I used to ask my dad to draw figures and I would follow how he does it. As for training, I don’t have any formal training or apprenticeship. Everything is self-taught. I learn through observation: watching a lot of cartoons and fashion shows on TV, reading art books in public libraries and book stores, looking at tutorials in the internet.

Most of my works are based from experimentation. I love the process of trial and error because that's where the fun is. I learn how to become resourceful and innovative when things don’t go the way I want it to happen due to some constraints like budget, or availability of the material. I believe that the expression of an artist can be conveyed regardless of the "limitation".

As for inspiration, I get it from almost anything: lyrics of a song; personal tragedies; fashion; food, places I’ve been to, people that I meet, etc. That’s what I like about my craft, the boundless possibilities. But I believe most of my work came from frustrations and aspirations. It is like living in a bubble where I can be who I am and be recognize with the things that I do inside the bubble.
