New York native Jonathan Simkhai gravitated toward the fashion industry as a young teen, when he realized his remarkable sales skills and renowned fashion insight. After honing in on his retail sales abilities, Simkhai pursued buying, which ultimately allowed him to see a void in the women’s contemporary market.

Following his studies at FIT and Parsons, Jonathan began developing his debut collection which launched in the Fall of 2010. Recognizing the essential needs of cosmopolitan women, Jonathan envisions a label that is received as effortlessly sexy and practical.

Inspired by the girl who is redolent of her boyfriends’ closet, the label replicates women in the designers’ life, who evoke this carefree, boy meets girl style. Jonathan’s namesake collection obscures the lines between masculinity and femininity, creating a stylized look that is playful, sophisticated and most importantly, comfortable. Generating a new definition of sex appeal, Jonathan Simkhai intrigues onlookers by means of innocent detailing, androgynous silhouettes and luxurious textures.
