I am a portrait photographer by nature, but never fail to see the beauty of a mid-summer sunset, igniting the sky with orange and blood red tones, or a rich, colorful flower, beaded with recently fallen drops of rain. Blending these natural wonders with a beautiful model is a photographers gift.
Portraiture, to me, is a way of revealing more about a person than just what is shown on the surface, but the photo is not necessarily just my vision of how a person should look in a photograph. To paraphrase a great and respected photographer who just happens to have a name quite similar to mine...
