It's time for new portfolio shots - I'm actively looking to shoot with new models.

I first picked up a camera in 1996 while I was living in Vienna, Austria, and have been hooked since. I have formal training through Pittsburgh Filmmakers, and am currently a member of the Royal Photographic Society (based in London, England). My past and current clients and partners include Open Stage Theatre, Playboy Golf, Mountaineer Casino, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Starbucks, and Haute Couture Salon. In my day-to-day life, I am a philosophy professor and Tae Kwon Do instructor. Photography is not what pays my bills, but it is what makes life interesting.

I enjoy working in monochrome and playing in the digital darkroom - I enjoy seeing what the camera is capable of. My main focus is on fine art photography, but I have a strong interest in fashion and street photography. I enjoy finding the "decisive moment" of a scene; Henri Cartier-Bresson and Bruce Davidson are among my favorite photographers and influences. My work is currently part of the "Moved to Act!" exhibition (http://lenscratch.com/2020/10/moved-to-act-demonstrations-marches-political-actions/) which has been touring since early 2020.

I am very open to creative ideas – while I tend to have particular final images in mind when going in to a shoot, I enjoy working with my models and exploring their ideas. Consequently, while I prefer paid shoots, I am open to working on a TFP/TFCD basis if the images are compelling and will be a positive addition to my portfolio.
