Samuel Copeland is a photographer living in the DC, Virginia, and Maryland Metro area. He has been taking pictures professionally for the past 4 years. His passion for photography is greatly influenced by his travels while in the military. His drive to capture the culture and sites of the places he visited helped shape the way he sees the world through his camera.

He approaches a photographic assignment by getting as much background information on the subject or person, this helps him deliver a photo that represents what the client is looking for. When doing portraits, he engages with his subject to bring out in pictures what they see when they think of themselves.

He is known for mixing natural and artificial light to create stunning portraits. His photos have a certain dark edginess to them.

The ability to capture what he sees through the lens and interpret it with technical skill to produce a work of art, is the best part of photography for him.
