About Me

My Philosophy
I think it is just as important to capture the little moments, as well as the expected ones. It’s important for me to capture mood, personality, and emotion in photos.

My Style
For portraits, I focus on the eyes and try to show different moods, attitudes, and sides of the person.

I take far more pictures that I probably should, but I think that tends to work out well for client. I like to think outside of the box and experiment with lighting, angles, and composition.

My Advice
There are a LOT of photographers looking to work with you… so how do you decide on who to choose? Go with your gut. I remember being overwhelmed as I tried to find a photographer for my wedding. It wasn’t until I met (who we eventually hired to be) our photographer and his wife, Robert and Felicia, that I felt at ease and comfortable with our photographer decision. I liked his work, I felt his was professional and easy to work with, and, most importantly, I loved our pictures.

Photography is an art and art, when done correctly, is full of passion. If your photos are important to you, search until you feel as though you’ve found a photographer’s passion that is complimentary to what you want. Hiring a photographer shouldn’t feel obligatory; it should be fun!

Why Model Mayhem?
I'd like the opportunity to work with different types of models. There is range here and I like variety. That said, I'd love to do more goth/punk shoots--I think they're fun and the images look amazing.
