Life is very simple. Well, that is to say that each of the fundamental components and processes that make up life are all very simple things, individually. Needs are simple. Motivations, desires, feelings, the things that make living things such as ourselves do what we do and be what we are; also simple. Yet, somehow, life becomes a web of complexity.
People, individually, often reflect those complexities innate to existence. A person is not a flat, two-dimensional caricature, but rather, countless flat, two-dimensional caricatures, all intricately, and perfectly, pieced together.
What could be seen as a complicated web is really just many many very simple individual strands working in sync.
I suppose this is what attracts me to modeling as an art form. It allows me to celebrate and appreciate the many, many, MANY simple strands that together comprise the not-so-simple me, while embracing so many of the flat two-dimensional caricatures within.
