About Me
Currently I'm in school at the Art Institute of Seattle for Photography. In the past I've taken pictures of a lot of animals, birds, my cat, my dog, because I've been shy around people. To get out of my comfort zone, I've tried to photograph people that I might otherwise shy away from. This tends towards some interesting shots. I'm also more experienced and comfortable taking photographs of architecture. I'm hoping to find unconventional models who are willing to work with a photographer who has a kind eye, but the model(s) are willing to accept that I'm still looking to build my human portfolio for the time being. (As of early November 2011.)
I can be contacted via email, or phone. I'm willing to reschedule if need be, I more than understand that freak things happen, sometimes often. My style tends towards the artistic; I have a long history of different art backgrounds, music, writing, assemblage, painting. I don't believe that more processing always makes it better, I've been becoming more of a purist. I think the shot should be acceptable coming out of the camera, to process in Photoshop by thinning out someone, or bulking up other areas, is lying, and building up unrealistic expectations of humanity. We're human, and therefore flawed, and that's what makes all of us beautiful. I think a good photographer can see and capture that beauty. Right now I've not learned lighting, so I don't have lots (or any for that matter) fancy lights. I use natural lighting, and what's available.
