I have just returned to glamour and portraiture photography after a twenty year hiatus. I want to update my portfolio and resume creating exciting and evocative images. My favorite style is based on the images of Hollywood's Golden Era...the 1920's to the 1950's. These images evoke a feeling of ageless glamour and fantasy; they are still as captivating today as they were when they were originally taken.

As you can see from my portfolio, I have attempted to capture that photographic magic. A friend recently described my photographs as "vintage", a description I relish. To me a great photograph is like a fine wine, it only gets better with age. No matter how many times you view it, your eye is constantly drawn back again.

Each session starts with one basic premise...You, the model are the focus of attention. Every photograph must feature you!!! You are the star!!! My job as the photographer is to feature you to the best advantage; not the clothes, not the makeup, not the setting...just you. All of these other things are just accent pieces. Every photograph should idolize you.

I like to work with models who share this vision. It is this creative collaboration that results in those special photographs. Each session starts with a basic idea that can come from either the photographer or the model. It is just the starting point. From there, the sky's the limit...a little "how about this" or "let's try that" and we're on our way to "vintage" photographs.

But the most important requirement in any session is HAVE FUN!!! When you're having fun good things seem to happen.
