Philip Night was born in Rochester, New York, home of the Eastman Kodak Company.

Rochester, a city entrenched in film, served as a proving ground during his high school years. It was there that Philip shot a great many of his early shorts films, falling in the love with the art of storytelling in the process.

After graduating from Full Sail University’s Film Bachelor program, Philip has taken up work as a freelance filmmaker and photographer.

His latest directorial work: BELIEVE, is a a short documentary which chronicles a first-of-its-kind public art mural project which took place in Rochester, NY in July 2011. The project involved local artists and a group of four artists from Cape Town, SA who shared their talents. Several murals were painted in hopes of inspiring the Rochester community. This privately funded project was sponsored by the Synthesis Collaborative, a Rochester-based nonprofit, and has been provided for online viewing by Ian Wilson, co-founder of The Synthesis Collaborative and producer of the documentary.
