Bonjour! My name is April Walterscheid. I am 26 years old and enjoy acting, music, and photography. I also, of course, enjoy modeling.

My goals for modeling are to obtain as much experience, and network with as many inspiring individuals as possible. I want to experience new styles of modeling and ground-breaking concepts. Being that I also enjoy acting and theatre, I also want to get my name out there through anyway possible – modeling print work, ads, websites, etc.

The style of modeling I prefer is that of modern, vintage, futuristic, different eras (i.e. 1700s), bizarre, gothic, Tim Burton-style, extremely drab and dull… Basically, I am up for absolutely anything especially if it is new, rebelliously innovative, weird, and anti-status quo. I will not do nude modeling, however.

I also do photography on the side; therefore, I enjoy observing and finding inspiration in different photography techniques, lighting set-ups, backdrops, etc. – as well as seeing the final product.

I currently have an associate’s degree in acting and I feel that this strengthens my modeling. My opinion is that modeling in general tends to coincide with acting in that it helps the model personalize the situation in which they are trying to convey in their facial expressions. I strive to implement different acting techniques into my modeling as much as possible – subtly or not so subtly.

Personality-wise, I have been told by various peers and professionals that I am light-hearted, fun, and take direction well.
