Hi my name is Lorna Marie and I am passionate about long hair styling. I did a full hairdressing apprenticeship when I was 18 and since then I have honed my skills doing working in salons, setting up my own wedding hair business and doing numerous long hair courses, the latest of which was a Sharon Blain Bootcamp in Perth WA. For the last 8 years I have focused solely on bridal hair looks and last year put together my first photo shoot with a makeup artist and photograper locally. The work really inspired me and I would like to do a lot more of that kind of thing. I love my brides and will continue working with them but I feel at this time in my career I would like the opportunity to work in other genres. I am very keen to learn and will take instruction easily. I want to be challenged and I want the opportunity to create hairstyles for fashion shoots or any other kind of shoots that need hairstyles outside of the box. I can create and make hairpieces, attach hair extensions, create looks for themes, create bridal looks, classical looks, high fashion looks and anything in between. I am looking for any opportunity to create a portfolio which will portray all kinds of genres of hairstyling work and I would also like to gain the kind of experience that may lead to work in styling hair in movies particularly period or futuristic pieces. I will consider any jobs that require travel and would love to hear from anyone who is putting together any kind of work be it photographic, editorial or film, catwalk or fashion of any kind. Basically I am open to try my hairstyling hand in any kind of environment and would welcome any opportunity to learn new things or teach others what I know.
