Photography has taught me a lot about myself and helped me through discovery and self-exploration find a way of expressing visually the core of who I am.
A former news-photographer, I have turned my interest to fine art black-and-white nude photography and portrait photography. I believe it it is always better to leave something to the imagination and thus I focus on the art and sensuality in pictures, leaving the explicitly sexual types to other photographers. I am intrigued by the power and vulnerability of the nude figure. Even the plain words "Nude" and "Naked" trigger an emotional response and the picture of the nude greatly magnifies that response. My goal is to capture photographically the power and vulnerability of the feminine inherent in the nude. I want to capture that which provokes the emotions of the viewer. Photography not only allows you to express who you are but also through you, who I am. If you are looking for adventure in terms of exploring who you are via your modelling and art I can help you with that. If you are just starting your modelling career I would be available for TFP. That includes not only helping you improve your portfolio, but also helping you to become your best in front of the camera, how to pose, how to act professionally and very importantly how to become more confident etc. New/inexperienced models (and of course experienced ones!) of all shapes, sizes and ages are welcome.
My preference is for using natural light, either indoor or outdoor. I aim to make an intimate emotional connection between the subject and the viewer. I am especially interested in teaming up with a model who is also an artist, or actor. We could, through photography, jointly explore via collaboration, how to capture the inner essence that goes well beyond traditional stereotypes. This could be a great adventure for the model to discover and become more aware of her own power and femininity. I want to create photographs that brings out the inner beauty of the woman that goes a lot deeper than looks alone. You are not just your looks. Good looks are something you have but do not make you who you are (although society and media try to make you think otherwise). I believe that essence cannot be captured verbally and in most cases operates out of the conscious awareness. However, it is always present and has a dramatic impact on both men and women. So let's explore and discover that inner beauty together and make what's unconscious conscious. Impossible? Let's see.
At present my photography is a form of exploration, of myself and of the model. Ideal for those artistically inclined models who have a psychological and/or intuitive awareness of the feminine within herself. A willingness to explore possibilities in creative and fun ways would be great. Ideally the model is on a quest for self understanding, self-expression, exploration of self and personal growth through the visual arts. Sessions are collaborative in nature, with the model being encouraged to bring forth her own ideas and creativity during sessions. Most important of all I wish to work with models who are totally dedicated to their craft rather than those who are into just making a few dollars on the side. Free accommodation with my wife and I may be possible for travelling models. Transportation may also be availableI. In return I ask for a 2 hour photo shoot. Photography has to be fun for me and hopefully we will not only produce some wonderful pictures but also create a lot of fun and laughter as we work together. Are you ready to grow?
