My name is Marissa, and I have been in love with photography since I was 14 years old. My freshman year in high school I started a photography class, and I never gave up! I moved into photo journalism my senior year out of peeked interest. And I loved it was well, but there was nothing like posing a beautiful person and capturing their inner and outer beauty for the world to see. Before I was 18 I had done 3 shoots of senior portraits, and had over 1000 pictures saved to my laptop computer from shoots for class. Sadly one year after graduation I moved into my own apartment, and I was robbed and my Olympus e500 was stolen among other things. I was heart broken. To make things worse my laptop crashed only 3 months after that and I lost everything! Let's say I learned a big lesson about backing up your work. Now 2 years after assuming my passion for photography had come to a halt, I now have a new camera, and I upload my work now to my deviantArt account, my facebook photography page, and I am also saving up for an external hard drive. I am just looking now to expand my experience right now. Some shoots I am paid for, some I do for free, it all depends. I joined model mayhem to expand my search for beautiful models to capture.
