About Me
Hi. I'm Dave, a photographer since 1979, pro since 2009. I've been voted "Best Pet Photographer in San Diego" on the 10News A-List and I've been recognized by The Art of Photography Show and other international competitions. In the commercial world I've worked with Starbucks, Deepak Chopra, Petsmart, Petco and many local businesses. I love my job and even get to volunteer for animal rescues!
My passion is on location portraiture photography where the environment of the subject plays as an important part in telling the story as the subject. I also love my studio. I'm constantly learning new photographic techniques and acquiring new equipment to take my game higher. I'm on Model Mayhem to network into subjects and to source paid work. I'm reasonably priced and willing to work within your budget. I work with all ages, shapes, sizes & colors. I'm open to collaboration or can take creative control and run with it if you're not sure what you want. While I feel the female form is a work of art in and of itself and I love to shoot artful, alluring, soulful, suggestive, intimate portraits, that's not all I shoot. If we're working together, I'll insist on a few things: 1.) A Service Agreement if you're paying me, or a Model Release if we're doing a trade. Both are short contracts, written in plain English and protect BOTH of our interests. I can email them to you before our session if you provide an email address (Model Mayhem Mail doesn't allow file attachments). 2.) Exchanging phone numbers so we can communicate about session details, confirm the session 24 hrs. prior, locate each other at the location if one of us gets lost or has an emergency. Because of so many "no call, no shows" I'll assume you want to cancel if we have not been in touch 24 hours prior to the session. I'm not here to date either. The phone number exchange is strictly for communicating about shoot details. 3.) You are welcome to bring one mature escort other than a parent or your spouse/lover. I have found people in these roles can really distract a model. No drama, please and kindly ensure our session is not cut short because your escort doesn't have enough time for it, gets cold or bored or is otherwise an issue. Please don't take any of the above personally. Same rules for everyone.  Yes, it's necessary! I'm a much more flexible person after we prove ourselves a successful team. Thanks for reading!
