My name is Lucy Gilmour and I am currently studying a foundation degree in design media makeup, based in Moston, Manchester.

Being at university has enabled me to start building up a professional portfolio, take full advantage of the studio and familiarise myself with a lot of the professional equiptment. It has also allowed me to research into different areas within the industry and made me more aware of which pathway is ideal for me.

I have a creative imagination and love working with high-fashion, Avant-garde designs. I have carried out some experience for weddings and proms but I intend to gain much more experience in my chosen pathway (Hair and makeup for Editorial Photoshoots).

I am always eager to learn new techniques and have an enthusiastic attitude towards hair and makeup. In my spare time I tend to doodle new design ideas, buy tons of magazines to keep me up-to-date with all the latest hair and makeup trends and practise as many designs as possible on friends and family. However, in order to attain my goals for the future I feel I need to gain more experience in working with different ethnicities, races, ages and genders to build up a professional portfolio.

I am available for work experiences, whether it requires me to do full hair and makeup or just simply there as an extra pair of hands! So please feel free to contact me for any reason.
