Hi, my name is Melissa. I have always loved art, makeup and beauty since I was a child. About 4 years ago my self esteem was at an all time low and I decided to teach myself how to apply simple everyday looks to make myself feel better. Within weeks that love for makeup grew and I loved editorial high fashion looks. I applied makeup to who ever would let me. Ironically it was the only thing that didn't bore me, wasn't a phase and I absorbed the knowledge of makeup artistry like a sponge. I didn't know where this love would take me. If it was only a hobby or a career path. It's definitely a career path. I am now working on my portfolio, networking and doing tfp gigs. I plan on doing special occassion jobs on the side to make money but my major goal is to someday be an editorial high fashion makeup artist, agency repped, doing spreads for ELLE, ALLURE, and etc. I don't care if I work with celebrities someday or not, if by chance I get booked in the future to do a cover which is usually a celeb I won't turn it down but thats not my main focus at all. Making beautiful images regardless of whom the subject is what's important to me.
