Cruel Summer is a movement publicizing the glories of beach culture
and lifestyle through adventurous swimwear and accessories in shapes
that universally flatter. The love child of Emily Brown's split
habitation between South Beach and the Lower East Side, it channels
all of her daily sources of inspiration.

She attacks swimwear as a stylist would construct an ensemble, working
in various points of interest with daring color and pattern
combinations, detailing, and avante-garde shapes. Each look is a blend
of the easy, body-conscious chic of South Beach with the funky,
free-spirited stylings of downtown New York.

The Spring/Summer 2012 collection pairs psychodelic patterns and
