My name is Kate Leadford and I grew up in Black Hawk Colorado. I played softball and basketball my entire life, I was a dedicated athlete. I have a wonderful family and am very fortunate. I have been blessed with an awesome mom and dad and irreplaceable brother. I really could not ask for a better family. I attended the University of Northern Colorado and Graduated with a BA in Communication in hopes to be a sports broadcaster. I work now and have since 2008 in Administration. Two years ago, a new love came along, snowmobiling. 2012 will be my third year, technically my second due to injuries and surgeries at the beginning of winter in 2011. I posted pictures and became very involved in following motor sports and athletes as me myself started to quickly excel and advance as a back country rider. I quickly this year became sponsored by Sledfreak, Go Pro, Scott, FXR and many other partial sponsors. I was asked to participate in a few films (High Octane Productions) but because of my injuries I could not. I worked with FXR for their clothing catalog for 2012, so I wore gear that was not out yet. I work with Ten High and 509 as well. They send me clothes and I wear them and do photo shoots as well. I recently just completed an article for SnoWest with a still shot and an action shot as well as actually writing the article. I also appeared in FXR 2012 catalog under FXR riders. SnoWest is one of the biggest magazines in the industry. I am working with a lot of people that high up in the industry at the moment and my goals, dream and career is taking off with a bang. I début in a Vintage Sled Calendar in the next couple months. I have never edited any of my photos, I really just have fun. Do to my new support I will be doing a lot of commercial grade photos, so they will be edited. I am a sponsored and respected rider for my small time at the sport and I also love to pose for the camera! I love my horses, traveling, hunting, fishing, camping, family and anything to do with motor-sports. I wish to expand my name even more; I have hopes of being the face of motor-sports while also being a skilled rider. My facebook inquiries have grown tremendously as well as interest from huge corporations in the industry. I have meetings with Thunderstruck and many other companies to start working with them, photos and riding and I really can't wait. I want this to be my career and passion.
