Hi, my name is James Stegeman. I was born and raised in Fort Myers, FL and have been living in the state my whole life. I graduated in 2009 from Florida Gulf Coast University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Marketing.

Photography became a hobby of mine in high school but did not truly take off for me until I reached college and discovered a passion for capturing unique images of people, things and places. I am always looking for more work for my portfolio, paying shoots preferable. I love doing themed shoots and fashion shots, but have branched out to do band and event photography. I will do any type of shoot if it is interesting or inspired. I have never shot nudes; implied is ok. I strive for the utmost level of professionalism during a shoot and will not put up with any bullshit or shenanigans. That being said, I love having fun and promoting relaxed no-stress photo shoots. It's supposed to be a blast! :)

My freelance work has been published 3 times so far in a up and coming Naples, FL lifestyle magazine called Pulse, including a cover shoot and inside spread in fall 2010. I also recently wrote my first article along with photos for the magazine. My amazing girlfriend accompanies me on shoots occasionally as my assistant. My dream is to become a full-time fashion/lifestyle photographer for a magazine or other publication, but right now it is simply a passion that provides extra income from time to time. I hope to meet potential clients on Model Mayhem to photograph and collaborate with, as well as fellow photographers, artists, and models that share the same passion as me. I plan on moving to the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area in the near future, which will hopefully open up a new avenue of locations for shoots as well as clients.
