Derek Weselake is a up and coming digital artist/photographer who recently graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design with a Media Art and Digital Technologies major. His primary goal with his artwork is to create a story or convey a certain mood to his audience. He achieves this by setting a simple goal for a photo shoot, be it an emotion, a character, a story, or even a sound. He often chooses these goals based on the model as each model brings a different conversation to his practice. Derek then takes this simple goal and expands on it indefinitely throughout the shoot. By being on model mayhem he hopes to expand his professional portfolio and audience.
