Just call me Katie.

I am an interesting character to come across. It could be because I am new to modeling which makes me slightly awkward in front of a camera, like a moose on ice; or because just the way I act, carry myself.
Don’t worry; I am not one of those horrible bitch girls that rage on everything. I am actually bit of a dork/nerd/tomboy. So, I guess I will tell how I got into modeling. Well… I would like to thank ANTM, and Project Runway. It was like “Hey if they can do it, I can do it.” And every time I would watch an episode I would parade around the house like it was a humungous catwalk, and pose in any mirror. I find that modeling is a great way to express art through the human body, and being an artist myself, I want to immerse myself further. Though, it took me up until now to actually get some professional photographs done.
Like I said before, I am new to this so my awkwardness is quite apparent. Sometimes it works in my favor, and sometimes it most defiantly does not. I think I get like this if the photographer says weird creepy things. Don’t worry though I do loosen up. I also take direction like a boss.
I would take point out that I am not super skinny for a model, nor am I like 6 ft. But, I do make a point to try to make it work. I also swam for four years so my upper body is a bit larger. I am a bit self-conscious about my weight. I think I am larger than I am suppose to be, even though I know that I am in a healthy weight zone, but I blame that on a two years relationship with a boyfriend who called me fat.
Weird fact: I thank that two year relationship in making me a stronger person, making me into a better more determined young lady.
I am currently working as a swim instructor, but the hours are slim so I have been on an epic quest for more work. As well of that I go to school part time. On top of that I have trying to enlist myself to the U.S. Coastguard, which has been a medical nightmare.
I have one tattoo, on my left upper chest. It is a Triforce from Legend of Zelda. The size of the tattoo is around 2.5in-3in. It is easily concealed by clothing. I know this because my family knows nothing of this tattoo.
I also have four piercings. Two normal non-gauged lobes and two rook. The rook piercings are very well hidden; I think it is because no one really looks in someone ears except doctors.
My style at the moment is under construction.
I am trying to bring in a more professional style, and remove my entire high school ensemble, though this has proven to be a challenge in itself, due to the fact that I really don’t like wearing dresses or skirts. I feel as if my butt is hanging out. Anyways, at the moment I will tell you that I am a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl.
My hair is also under construction due to the fact that I work at a pool, and getting it professionally done would be a stupid idea.
Just a side note: My skin does its own thing, and is a pain in the ass. So I don’t wear make-up unless I need to. Like for photo shoots, or special occasions. I do have minimal scaring, and I do apologize for that.
I do own a car, so traveling is no problem, though since I really don’t make any money I would prefer to stay with in local territory. Once I get proper finances I will spring out wards more and more.
