Born in the USA, Cecilio has photographed everywhere from New York to California, and as far west as Hawaii. He began photography at early age with his first camera, a Kodak Browning 126, arriving as a birthday gift from his parents when he was in only the 3rd grade. He continued learning and honing his photography skills through grade school, junior high, and high school, culminating in his earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography/Photojournalism.

At age 20, Cecilio began his professional career by photographing weddings. He continues this work even today, over 30 years later, delighting in the preservation of the memories of each bride’s special day. During the past 30 years, he has also worked with law enforcement as a surveillance photographer, as well as continuing to photograph weddings, events, and family and individual portraits.

Over the years, Cecilio has had the pleasure of creating memorable photographs for organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, and the Blue Angels, as well as entertainers, including Carlos Santana, Denzel Washington, Avril Lavigne, and Fergie from the Black-Eyed Peas.

In addition to portrait photography, he has now started to use his vision of the world and his hard-earned skills to bring our world to life in artistic photographs with a sense of drama and power. He is hopeful that his art work will inspire photographers both new and old. Cecilio enjoys the purity of film as well as the flexibility of digital and takes advantage of the unique differences between the two mediums to convey his artistic vision. To ensure the final artwork achieves his unique vision, Cecilio has adopted the European art of giclee printing for all landscape and wildlife photographs.

Cecilio’s work has been shown at Starbucks, Sherman Clay, Movado, the Edmonds Art Show, and Bellevue College. He has been published in many newspapers, including the Edmonds Herald (Edmonds, Washington), Tracy Tribune (Tracy, California), Modesto Times (Modesto, California), Tacoma Herald (Tacoma, Washington), and Alexandria Times (Alexandria, Virginia).
