Czech born, Canadian based designer, Monika Francikova spent her childhood wearing handmade clothing and learning to craft her own. Graduating from SOUO College in Pardubice, Czech Republic as a certified women’s tailor, she was drawn to the expressive nature of Fashion design.


Her newfound enthusiasm led her to Canada where she studied Fashion Design at the International Academy of Design and Technology in Canada's couture central, Toronto.

Inspired by a new culture, and a love of design as her muse, Monika enjoyed employment at the Stratford Festival and was selected from the top ten young designers in the country to design for the Bell Celebrity Gala in Toronto. Since then, she has worked with a collection of highly skilled tailors, and has been designing under Monikova, her own line. Monikova fuses European and Hollywood styles to produce trendy, quality clothing for the social scene and the workplace.

Monikova locally designs and manufactures modern clothing with attention to quality of fabrics, construction and fit.
