I like to photograph emotions. Not just that from the model, but that which is then felt by the viewer. You can't read a person's mind from a photograph, but you can read their feelings, and just that fast you are also experiencing their thoughts.

I have managed Photo Labs, Camera Stores, and staff of Photographic workers at Casino and Event locations. Part of my experience has been in training staff to go into the Casino Restaurants to pose and shoot clients for dinner photos. The challenge at that point was to make a full set of marketable 5x7, 8x10, and wallets all from 3 to 5 frames of medium negatives, then delivered back to them by the time they were eating their desert. Every location had it's own problems and teaching camera staff what not to do was always a headache. Example, you shoot in a BLUE restaurant with blue mirrors, blue table covers, blue lights, then the people will end up looking like the Blueman Group. Working under that kind of pressure will give you pleasure when you get to work in a slower studio environment.

I have been hired to make Model's Portfolios and hired to photograph items for Retail Sale promotions. Have generated portfolio work for Models and Escorts (samples available).

When I shot in film, I shot with 35 mm and medium format cameras. I swore by film for it's quality. But over the development of better digital cameras, I have shifted my medium of work to completely electronic. I try to use my experience from film while translating it's details and quality into the coming new tech.

Why do I like/love to photograph people? As with all things we form a passion for, I get a deep "Rush" when I see in the view finder of the camera, that special feeling when "I caught the perfect image". It is a time when you just "KNOW IT". There are so many situations in life that lack that feeling and I think that is why it is so special for me.
