To be honest, photography is mostly a hobby, so when I take the time to schedule a shoot with someone, I want it to be fun, creative, and... sometimes a little dirty. Most of my work takes me outside on adventures - waterfalls, lakes, tall grasses, overgrown forests. I love to play with natural lighting and environments.

I have always thought of photography as a dance. When the photographer moves, the model moves every so slightly. The model waits for the distinctive click of a shutter and moves again. In response, the photographer moves, pauses, adjusts, breathes in, and clicks once more. This back and forth is how people make art. Both sides understand the angles, the light, and the collaborative atmosphere. There is a natural flow of ideas, sometimes almost without speaking. This is why I love the art.

I live in the Chapel Hill area, but I often drive to Asheville to visit family and love shooting around there!
