My name is Hessel Folkertsma and I am a part-time photographer, part-time musician. I have little experience in model-photography but am always looking to challenge myself and grow as a photographer, I would like to gain more experience in directing a shoot. This is why I created this profile.

I photograph mainly with available light and try to create images that feel natural and deep. What I try to stay away from are bland meaningless images.

Thus the gear I mainly use are analog/filmbased photographic equipment, since I feel these give me the most natural and expressive look. It also forces me to think about the image before I hit the shutter.

I am available for any type of photography, even the genres in which I have no experience because I love to learn!
