I've been photographing since 2001, but I am not a professional photographer. My photography is very much focussed on portraiture. Inspirations are Steve McCurry, Bruno Bisang, Annie Leibovitz, Richard Avedon, amongst others. I shoot mainly with a Hasselblad 500C/M using film. The dynamic range of colors and light that film offers surpasses (affordable) digital cameras by far, the larger format of the Hasselblad gives more details and especially slide film provides a sharpness that is unsurpassed. After development, I have the pictures scanned on a professional scanner to give a 8600 by 8600 pixel image. I also have digital SLR gear, though I prefer the film.
