I am a photographer based in London and Surrey, with a particular interest in portraits and studio work. My style is for simplicity and impact, whether in colour or black and white. My philosophy with photography is equally simple – “If you enjoy it, it’s a good photo”.

I have recently moved into portrait photography, having had a more varied background in sports, events, travel, street and film set photography. I have also taken a number of actors' headshots for use in professional portfolios, and undertake private commissions.

My work has featured on magazine covers, B2B marketing material, matchday programmes, publicity posters and various sites across the internet. I also sell images through Alamy and other image libraries.

One of my photographs, "Sunlight through the Pillars" recently placed 3rd in a national photographic competition.

I like working in both colour and black and white, and particularly enjoy low-key moody portraits. I won't overplay my experience with portraiture, though - I'm still learning and applying the disciplined skills I learnt in my other photography to this new genre - but portrait and studio work has fast become my favourite way to work. I love listening to new ideas and running away with things as they enter my head. I have started to develop some contacts with very talented professional make-up artists, and often bring them along for shoots to enhance any model's look.

I have access to an excellent professional studio in central London (Kennington) where most of my portrait work is undertaken. The studio is a 5min walk from Kennington on the Northern line, or a 15min walk from Vauxhall. I'm quite happy to travel around the city to try new locations and outdoor work as well.

At the moment, I am particularly loving working in low light and black & white, but am perfectly comfortable working to whatever brief you feel is most appropriate. I'm comfortable working to any level, but am especially interested in adding more fashion shoots to my portfolio.
