About Me

Have you ever wondered what made “Super Woman” super? Her possession of power is an automatic given, but it exceeds far beyond that. She’s super because she’s representative of every woman who stands her ground and is able to balance multiple talents. One of those women being stylist, production director, and editor, TNT Tauna. Through hard work and persistence, this dynamite player is on an unstoppable mission as she has become a relevant force in fashion.

With dreams of one day growing up to be a model, it was during her childhood years that an interest was sparked. After eventually finding her niche in pin-up modeling, she found herself styling many of her own photo shoots. She became aware that many agencies were closing due to the recession and that some companies prefer not to represent pin-up models or models with tattoos. Not letting discouragement take a toll – styling became a natural progression in her career. The unveiling of her blog-site, where she currently serves as Editor-In-Chief – allows complete freedom of expression and the opportunity to share her work with those who encompass similar interests.

Dynamite Editorials is Tauna’s very own production company that prides itself in exposing emerging talent. They have worked with everyone from the likes of actresses Lexi Ainsworth (General Hospital, Cougar Town) and Kate Kelton (Haven, Bullet in the Face) to musician Gabrielle Wortman (TEMP3ST) and many more. “I would love to work with more bands and musicians on music videos and photo shoots. Music videos for me is where I want to be because they’re so creative, you can just go out of control with style and make it amazing,” Tauna explains.

“At our photo shoots, I’m actively involved in teaching people what really goes into styling because it is a lot of work and seems very glamorous on the outside,” says Tauna. But in reality, this is truly not the case. As an editor or stylist, you have the opportunity to work with celebrities, you’re invited to exclusive fashion events, but as Tauna explains, the act of styling is a lot of work in itself. Conducting wardrobe pulls, selecting pieces that favor your client, making sure garments fit and or are displayed correctly at a photo shoot are some of the things that must be considered.

With a name like TNT Tauna and a production company entitled “Dynamite Editorials,” it seems as though creativity is no stranger to this multiple role playing phenomenon. When it comes to the origins of her branding she explains, “That story is a little funny I guess. I used to rep for an energy drink company and we were looking for innovative ways to market the product. It wasn’t sold in stores, just online so I had partnered up with a roller derby team to have a booth at their bouts and create mixed drinks. All the girls had these cool stage names like Kat Attack or Ballistic Betty. I started hanging around one of the girls on the team named Tina and all the time it would be like, ‘Oh, Tauna & Tina = TNT’, so I kind of just adopted the name like, that’s right, I’m dynamite!”

Indeed she is dynamite. As she manages to perform a combination of duties in her various roles, TNT Tauna finds the reward in being able to pull people together that enjoy doing the same thing; not to mention constantly surprising herself with her own creativity. “Sometimes I stand back to look at my work and I’m like ‘wow, did I really just create that?’ I feel like I’m just now tapping into my true potential.”

The truth is, when you’re passionate about something, the work you put in is as admirable as the final result. It’s individuals like TNT Tauna who serve as a reminder that it is very possible to fulfill more than one goal when you have a mindset that is centered around one objective – achieving!
