I've been taking photographs for a number of years, starting in 1996 with my Nikon F-50. I've travelled across Canada capturing the people and places since then with a eye on trying new things and seeing what works. I have taken numerous courses, understand darkroom and lightroom methods, and can also build a working pinhole camera (madness, I know!). I currently operate a hybrid set of film and digital equipment and would love to see both survive long into the future.

I believe that the subject is as important as the technical behind the lens and am willing to work with anyone given a fun, upbeat approach to the material. Location is always a great story and can bring about on-the-spot ideas just by having more than one in a shooting session. I'm not beyond hearing a suggestion or having subjects suggest an idea for a whole session.

I am currently interested in working more with people and learning more about studio lighting - a topic I sorrowfully have not learned beyond basics yet. I'm interested in hearing from persons looking to have work done or other photographers about their experiences and ideas.
