Professional makeup artist Ilda Chapa has been making her clients look and feel their best for more than 10 years. Ilda’s career started in college, while working in the campus theater department. While doing makeup for shows, she discovered how rewarding it was to make people look and feel beautiful. Ilda has worked as a freelance makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics for more than 5 years, and is currently the owner of Makeup by Ilda. With her hard work ethic and dedication to her clients, Ilda has earned a solid reputation with photographers, models, wedding coordinators, and media. In March, she participated as a premiere makeup artist at an event hosted by acclaimed movie director Robert Rodriguez and technology company AMD at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive festival in Austin, TX. She has also done makeup for various high profile fashion shows and events. A consummate professional, Ilda prides herself on creating looks that are timeless and naturally flattering to each individual person.
