Beauty, Fashion, and Glamour Photographer in Toronto.


I am a professional photographer in Toronto who is looking for models, makeup artists, hair stylists, and fashion stylists to update, expand my portfolio and try out new ideas. In return, you will receive photos for your own portfolio and I will use the photos for self promotion purposes.  Please contact Alan here if you have ideas to collaborate. A few words about TRADES:
I will normally show you all the good photos from the session and may give them to you via email or online hosting. However, I will only retouch a few of the best shots for everyone involved so we can use them on our portfolios. If you wish to have a 100 photos retouched please look elsewhere.

I am offering paid workshops now and need experienced models, MUAs, and stylists to join me. My studio is located near the QEW and Royal York Road in Toronto. I live in Thornhill/Markham. If you are hired to model for a workshop I expect the model to provide a few images of her/himself to be used in promotional materials usually on my website and a model release form is signed for all participants involved.


WHAT I REQUIRE from Models:

At least 3 recent photos of yourself. One head shot, one 3/4 length, and one full length photo which are used to promote you as the model if it is a workshop session. 


Proof of Age:

I may take a picture or photocopy your government issued picture ID at our first shoot for my records prior of any shooting.  I do not shoot with models under 18 years of age unless your parents are present in the session.

A signed model release.  I will ask you to sign my model release form at the beginning of each session.  I will not shoot without a signed model release.  NO exceptions.

A Pre-Shoot Meeting (GO-SEE), if we have never worked together before.  You get a sample copy of my model release to keep, so you can become familiar with it.  We get to meet and get acquainted.  You get to see more of my work and how I am.  I get to see if you look like the pictures in your portfolio.  Our meetings are held in a safe, public place like Starbucks or Tim Horton's or some casual restaurant convenient to us.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR TRAVELLING MODELS:

If you are signing an EXCLUSIVE contract with anyone please be very careful if you are a traveling model. This situation limits your availability to other photographers during your stay. Thus, it is NOT recommended to sign such a contract unless the person hires you for the entire length of your stay. 

ESCORTS:  Escorts are no problem as long as the person is unobtrusive and willing to help.  If your escort is willing to help me with things like holding a reflector, I'll take advantage of the offer, but it is not a requirement.  In my past experience, husbands, boyfriends and parents do not make good escorts.  Even the most experienced models very often feel self conscious with them watching but if they are your preference I can't object. No escorts are allowed if you are hired to work in my workshops.

BODY ART:  I have no problem with tattoos or piercings but I prefer to know what sort of body arts you have in advance.

I am always on time and ask the same consideration from you. If I am running late because of a situation beyond my control I will call.

If for whatever reason you can not make it to the shoot please tell me about it at least 24-48 hours in advance. I always confirm the shoot the day before. Once the session is confirmed I do not wish to cancel the session.
