About Me

I am a certified Personal Fitness Trainer with ACSM, the leading academic and most reputable certification to acquire. Athletics and training have been a part of my life since early childhood at the age of nine where I started competing in competitive freestyle roller skating and won many competitions in the state of Oregon. The competitive bug and love of training and sports bit me and I knew then that this is what I was good at and was meant to do. I began practicing gymnastics, swimming, track, softball, and soccer regularly through elementary school and receive the presidential award for all four years and the highest amount of any student in the elementary school. I continued playing softball and soccer through Junior High and High School all year round in off season traveling teams as well. I started lifting weights in High School as part of training. Weight training began to strengthen me and I loved the results when in came to on the field. I ran cross country and developed my love for running in my last two years of High School. I watched the Ironman on television and watched Paula Newby Fraser win in Kona my Senior year and decided that was my next goal. I unfortunately did not have a good road bike so that got put off for a few years.

At SFSU I started a Lacrosse Team, hired a coach, organized as a non profit I put together the team and trained them one by one. The SFSU Lacrosse team traveled to tournaments and competed for the next 3 years at the University level against Colleges such as Stanford, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, Chico, UC Santa Clara and many more. While I was playing Lacrosse and running the team I continued training for triathlons with cross training of swimming, biking and running. I also was working at a Physical Therapy Assistant part time. Once I graduated from SFSU I was able to focus on triathlon training. Along the way I got more focused on the running and particularly trail running. I ran 18 marathons in 2 years and had a running club as well. I trained my club, the Silicon Valley Road Runners Club for 3 years and watched my running group members lives change as they got in shape and accomplished amazing goals that they never thought possible.

I decided to let go of my running club to compete in triathlons. I spent 2 years training in Tribe and Kain teams and competed in 9 triathlons including the half Ironman in Kona. I unfortunately still have not completed the full Ironman. My running joke is that by the time I finish the full Ironman in Kona I will be 50. Who knows, maybe this will come true one day. I began training at Lalanne Fitness in San Francisco for a year in Crossfit in 2009 while building my weight training regimen. In July 2010 I attended my first body building competition in San Jose and committed to compete in July 2011. For one year I trained and dieted and completed my first body building competition.

I have a passion to motivate others and help them accomplish their fitness goals. My natural intuitive ability with human movement helps me to observe others and give them the best training solutions possible. My athletic background with training others and myself is a lifetime of experience that I can offer my clients.
