SUMIKO BRAUN (http://www.sumikobraun.com) is an actress, writer, model, and musician born and raised just south of Los Angeles in the city of Carson. She began acting and modeling as a teenager, stepped away during college to gain a very useful degree in Asian American Studies, and returned to it with fervent passion years later with life experience and knowledge under her vegan belt. Sumiko has since been featured in numerous films, TV shows, web series, commercials, and print campaigns. She also continues to write and perform poetry and music throughout southern California.

A mother with a sophisticated yet youthful spirit, a vegetarian and political advocate committed to positive social change, Sumiko navigates life with mindfulness, love, and compassion. The transformative and healing power of storytelling drives her on this creative path, and she strives to produce genuine, provocative, enlightening, and sometimes even absurdist artistic work. Additionally, she is an INFJ Taurus Rat, overuses the words “awesome” and “ridiculous,” can be found driving around LA belting out songs from the musical RENT, and can cook some mean chilaquiles.
