"Do more of what makes you happy"

Here is a bit of my background. I was born near Amsterdam in the Netherlands and  came to the USA when I was 17 years old; I credit my sense of style and aesthetics to my Dutch heritage and sense of craft to my American education.
Here are a couple of other tid bits. I am fully vaccinated and boosted. I am happily married. I'm on MM to work and make pictures. Great ones.
All of the pictures in the portfolio are  collaborations. I work with people of all kinds of backgrounds, from young to old, from beginners to seasoned pro's. The goal is to put you at ease and in an environment that makes creativity a real possibility.

I have retired from the commercial photo business and all of my work is now involved in  making art nudes for exhibition in art galleries, calendars and books. You can see that in the portfolio galleries, which are filled nudes in one form or another.  Ergo the warning about NSFW.

I also teach the nude as a subject for serious art making. Besides the nude, I have taught fashion and lighting at a variety of schools, colleges, universities and workshops for the past 40 years. One record that I am proud of is a 35 year stint as a full time faculty member at Columbia College - Chicago. 

My photographs have been published in magazines such as Carrie Leigh's Nude Magazine, Model Society, View Camera Magazine, Camera Arts Magazine and Peau Magazine. Finally, I am not the only person with ideas for pictures. If you have an interesting project in mind, please feel free to send me a message on how we can work together.
Finally, from April until October I live and work in our country place in New Buffalo, Michigan. It is a great place to make all kinds of pictures. The rest of the year you can find me in Chicago.
