Latia "Jacqueline" Best also known as LaLa was born on July 2,1986. She is of Barbadian/Brazilian descent. The 25 year old spokes model and aspiring actress started modeling at the age of 3 competing in numerous pageantries and fashions shows. Her mother, a British/Bajan (Barbados) moved her to Boston, Ma from St. Croix after Hurricane Hugo in 1990. Latia was very athletic at a young age, qualifying for the Jr Olympics twice for Track & field. After graduating from high school in 2004, she started runway modeling for numerous local designers. She got her first local break when she was asked to play the lead girl for Rhode Islands hottest rap group WHO DEM in 2008. "When I first started out I was a size 2 but after having my beautiful son in 2009 I now have what we Bajans would say “a GROWN woman body LOL" she says. "I am very confident and content with my new profound body size and decided to change my preference from runway to Fitness and Print modeling". After receiving her Associates in business administration and a Bachelors degree in Management, LaLa along with her close friend and business partner Oswald Black, started Trini Extreme Cuisine catering company. Not only is she excited about her new venture in modeling, she is patiently awaiting the grand-opening of her Caribbean style Food-truck in the summer of 2014.
