Nelson Lopes

I started swimming and gymnastics at the age of 6 until I was 10.
During school time I use to get involved in all kind of sports tournaments in the following disciplines: soccer, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and running.
At the age of 10 I started playing soccer and practicing Judo, and I competed until the age of 14.
When I was 14 I started Boxing and joined a weight training gym with my father.
From then I trained in kick boxing and took part in boxing competitions. I was also involved in Brazilian jiu-jitsu aiming to participate in mix martial arts competitions. Meanwhile I took part in some amateur fights and played soccer in several clubs until the age of 18.
At the age of 18 I went to university to study sports. During this time I got injured and underwent an operation to my left knee. It took me 1 year to fully recover (this is the time when I started to take gym and heavy weight training more seriously). After that I went back to play soccer until the age of 22.
At the age of 22 I obtained certificates in different areas, including personal training, functional training, nutrition and other fitness and training methodology.
I then worked in Lisbon, Portugal in different gyms for a period of 2 years.
In 2008 I was offered a job in Cadiz (Aljeciras), South Spain for 6 months as a mobile personal trainer. I also worked in private gyms and later came back to Portugal where I worked in boxing gyms and trained people at home and in parks.
In 2009 I worked in Marseille, France for 6 months. Again I was training customers in parks/at fitness clubs/ at their home. I then returned to Portugal and worked for Holmes Place for a couple of months.
In early 2010 a friend of mine invited me to come to London. He offered me a personal trainer position in his company and asked me to help him manage his personal training company. I have been working for this company ever since.
In 2012 got in the August edition of the FLEX magazine invited by martin Cheiftz the muscle&fitness/flex weider publishing ltd managing director.

I prefer the fitness and fashion style industry but i'm open to other kind of styles.
Hopefully i'll get some contacts and job opportunities from the Model Mayhem which i consider one of the best websites in modeling world.
