My name is Patricia Tscharskyj and I am studying at the School of Visual Arts for photography. For the past year I have been trying to build a fashion portfolio for myself. My work is documentary style fashion photography. I prefer to work on location and I try to create images that feel as though I am capturing a moment. My personal photographic inspirations are Stephen Meisel, Richard Avedon, Ellen Von Unwerth, Irving Penn, and Bob Richardson.
It is very hard to find models, stylist and make-up artist when you are just starting out. As of right now all the people that I have worked with are either personal friends, or friends of photographers whom I have assisted. I have no money to pay anyone but I am happy to make prints or send out JPEG's which people can use to promote himself or herself. I am looking for models who are more actors then models. My work is about being in the moment and I love someone who can improvise.
