Hello, I'm Delaney and I've been an active photographer for over four years now. I have worked with weddings and family portraits over the years but I have found a deep passion for theatrical photography.
The inspiration behind the images that I create comes from the idea of art in preparation. I prepare themed photo shoots that require makeup, creative props, imaginative editing, and many hours of preparation. The models that I work with are chosen with much care to create the exact image of the theme that I see in my mind.
The finished image, in my eyes, is not the true art. The art can be found in the hours and the days that I spend building the props, picking the location and creating the shoot. I am the one to work with the models’ makeup, hair and clothing and it is me who builds the props that are found in the image. To me, this preparation is the true art. The finished image is just a bonus.
