I'm James, I mostly work with my wife Mel under the (imaginative) name of 'James & Mel Photography'. Our first love is movies and cinematography - we've produced and shot several shorts and music videos as Black Stump Films - and we like to bring a filmic quality to our photography work. Through making these over the last few years we've built up a network of artists, designers and prop makers and gathered a wealth of experience in location shooting which we want to bring to our photo work.

Currently looking for models, MUAs and designers who like to work with beautiful locations, interesting lighting or anything with a cinematic flair. As for styles; as well as general portraiture we've previously enjoyed working with local clothing brand FEROX and are very interested in expanding our fashion work. Best of all we like themed shoots! In the next few months we've lined up a Dark Knight shoot with a Cosplay group, a treasure hunt session with a band of pirates and we're looking at working with some steampunks...

At the moment we're mostly working TFP for our model shoots, with occasional paid weddings and other gigs - fashion and themed shoots are something we're getting into and trying to build up a portfolio and network.
