Sonja Burch is the new face the big screen has been searching for. The Kingston, Jamaica, native has transformed her love of television and film into a passion to perform on film.

Behind the scenes, Sonja has worked as a production assistant and photographer for selects music video and low budget short films.

But the more she watched her favorite actors, such as Sanaa Lathan, star in great movies, the more her soul craved the same. Sonja's increase in acting continued to grow with each movie she watched. Her true skill is to adopt the role in which she is cast and relay that character to the audience. With brains, beauty and earnestness she is a true gem to film.

In April 2011, she made her acting debut in the short film, Pray for Her, which was produced for the 24-Hour Film Race. Her character was one of the personalities of the female lead's character. This experience confirmed her desire to pursue acting.

Since the 24-Hour Film Race, Sonja has secured her second role in another short film, and is pursuing other roles that will help her hone her craft. Because of her flexible looks, she can play roles ranging from a high school student to a mother.

Sonja currently resides in "The Hollywood of the South", Atlanta, Ga., with her husband and her son. A full-time mom; part-time super hero.
