Darya Ryan is an American photographer known for editorial portraiture. Her work is focused on emotionality and attempts to express our humanity in aesthetically new ways. Darya's work has been recognized internationally and has been published on platforms like National Geographic, Vogue, Italia, as well as Social Documentary Network. Her other publications include ICON, NorCal Magazine, Sellin, Editorial CQ Magazine, Morningstar, and Edge of Humanity Magazine

Darya attended University of California, Davis, where she wall enrolled in the Art History MA program. Her graduate thesis explored photography during Soviet regime in Russia, focusing on Boris Mikhailov’s works and their transformation in post-Soviet era.

Today Darya continues to explore new photographic styles and collaborate with artists. She also provides instruction through photography workshops and personalized coaching both in-person and online.
