I am a portrait and landscape painter in the photo-realist or romantic/realist style; I began selling my work in 1980. In 1992 I picked up Photoshop (v2) and have been a photo retoucher, software trainer, McIntosh technician, paperback cover artist, catalog designer, packaging and pos designer. The bulk of the work I did for Federated/Macys for 9 years was model shots, with a concentration in making the retouched image look as subtle and natural as possible. My goal with the retouching is for the art director or man on the street to not notice or realize that the photo has been retouched at all. So cleaning up skin blemishes, evenning out skin tone, removing wrinkes from skin or garments, garment color changes (even something like a white garment changing to a dark wine red) is all familiar and seamless work to me.
