My name is Patrick Harris. I'm drawn to photography by the power it gives you to convey so much emotion, even a story, through a single image. The ability to turn average into breathtaking.

My main area of interest is the human figure, however I dabble many other areas. My photography tends to be dark, dramatic, and is more suggestive and emotional as opposed to typical "pretty" glamor. For hundreds of years the female figure has been portrayed as the "Venus standard," curvy, fleshy, realistic. Today we are force fed anorexia, plastic surgery, expensive clothes and too much makeup. My current goal in my photography is to recapture the true definition of realistic beauty and not the ridiculous modern day standard.

About me: I'm 27 years old. I'm a police officer, veteran, and student, but photography is my passion. I have a degree in photography. My experience includes about every format of photography possible.. Digital, 35mm, Medium format TLR, Holga, etc. I'm great with Photoshop. I'm very laid back and like having fun with photoshoots, especially when I'm given a chance to be creative.

The main thing I'm looking for is someone who wants to do something creative to help build both of our portfolios. I definitely enjoy working with people who are more interested in making art than pictures. That said, I'm also looking to broaden my portfolio, and am open to almost any style of shoot. I work in both digital and film and, therefore, can provide prints in both.
