Federico Dix was born in Florence, Italy in 1973. He studied music and graduated in 1998 from the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. He lives in London and Florence.
Federico has always had an interest in the visual arts (he has worked as a curator for exhibitions of paintings in London and Florence). He is fascinated by the immediacy of the act of taking a picture, a gesture that allows him to seize instants and freeze them from the endless flow of time.
In Federico’s view photography must reveal the extraordinary elements that are contained in the ordinary every-day. He achieves this by creating a short-circuit between the photographer, the places, the people and the objects of everyday life.
