James has 8 years experience in the makeup world. He began his career as a professional dancer, performer and British champion gymnast and obtained his honours degree at Chester University. He joined MAC Cosmetics in 2005 (during his 1st year at University). His early influences include performance, fantasy fiction, gender transformation and drag artistry. His artistic inspiration has been influenced by: Kevin Aucoin, Ru Paul, Alex Box, Val Garland and Vivienne Westwoood to mention a few. He is part of the MAC Pro UK Team specialising in high fashion, drag and gender transformation.

James has worked with a variety of celebrity clients and personalities to include : Ruby Wax, The Saturdays, Jenny Frost amongst others. In the London club scene he has designed makeup for Federation, Supermartxe, Salvation and Matinee.

Other most recent credits include London Fashion Week, various high budget Hollywood movies and TV Shows to include Pirates of The Caribbean : On Stranger Tides and Britain's Next Top Model.

He is a specialist in gender, drag transformation and body painting and teaches high fashion make-up at The Hoxton Academy together with giving make-up lessons at The MAC Pro Studio, Soho, London.

As a side line he regularly performs as a dancer for various clubs and pop personalities and is a professional model represented by Uglies Model Management.
