For high standard beauty images(as you can see in my folio),the things I'd like focus on are:
-fly-aways and general hair neatening
-skin smoothing (with details in the pores)
-contouring (high technical dodging and burning)
-make-up correction (filling in gaps, enhancing it etc)
-colour correction(if applicable)

For other basic retouching:
-simple skin, colour correction,
-simple dodge and burn
-contrast,
-sharpening
